Mold Remediation
Licensed Florida mold remediation, from safe removal to the finished rebuild, with one company and one point of contact.
Why Ready 2 Renovate
Removed safely. Rebuilt right.
Mold usually means a leak, and fixing it takes two jobs: removing the contaminated materials and putting your home back together. We do both, so nothing falls through the cracks between contractors.

Recent project · Brevard County
From mold found to remediation complete
A recent living room job, start to finish: what we found behind the baseboards and under the floor, how we contained it, and the cleared room ready for the rebuild.
1. What we found

Behind the baseboards
Growth along the bottom of the exterior wall

Inside the wall
Drywall cut open to trace the damage

Under the flooring
Staining and growth on the subfloor
2. Containment

Sealed work area
Plastic barriers keep spores out of the rest of the home

Controlled entry
A zippered door limits traffic in and out

Negative air
Air scrubbers filter the air and vent it outside
3. Remediation complete

Cleared and cleaned
Contaminated materials removed, surfaces cleaned

Ready for the rebuild
Next step: new drywall, trim and flooring
How it works
Our mold remediation process
- Inspection. We look for visible growth, check moisture levels, and find where the water is coming from.
- Containment. We seal off the work area with plastic barriers and run air scrubbers so spores do not spread to the rest of the house.
- Removal. Contaminated drywall, baseboards, trim and flooring come out. Framing is HEPA vacuumed, cleaned and treated.
- Clearance. We coordinate post-remediation testing with an independent licensed mold assessor to confirm the area is clean.
- Rebuild. We replace what was removed and match your finishes, so the room looks like nothing happened.

Questions
Mold remediation FAQ
Is mold remediation covered by insurance?
It depends on your policy and what caused the mold. Many Florida policies limit mold coverage, but mold from a sudden covered leak is often included. We document everything with photos and an Xactimate estimate so your adjuster has what they need.
Do you test for mold?
Florida does not allow the same company to both assess and remediate a project. We work with independent licensed mold assessors for testing and clearance, and we handle the remediation and rebuild.
Do you fix the leak that caused it?
Yes. We find the moisture source and repair it as part of the rebuild. We do not do water extraction or drying; if the area is still wet, we coordinate with a mitigation company first.
Can we stay in the house during remediation?
Usually, yes. The work area is sealed off and kept under negative air pressure. For large jobs or for anyone with health concerns, we will talk through the options with you first.
How long does it take?
Small areas are often removed in a day or two. Larger jobs, clearance testing and the rebuild add time. You will get a schedule before work starts.
